Akina Kanazawa

Born in Kyoto, Japan

She graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, at the top of the list

of instrumental music department(Piano), and obtained Kuwabara-award.

Graduated the master’s program at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music

graduate school of classical music(Piano).

In 2010, she made her piano solo debut at Electric Culture Hall.

In September in the same year, she moved to France for her self-improvement.

She unanimously won the first prize with a congratulatory address in the course of Chamber music of the National Conservatory of Gennevilliers.

Since then, she won several music competitions including as follows,

France-Japan special prize in Chateau international piano competition.

First prize of piano section in Leopold Bellan competition.

Frist prize of chamber music section in Les étoiles competition.

First prize on four-hand section in France international musical competition.

And also she won the first prize in the Bradshaw & Buono international piano competition, piano duo section, then later on, she appeared in the winner’s debut at Carnegie Hall.

She had studied the piano under Shizuka Omori, Tamao Sasajima, Haruko Kasama,

Vadim Sakhfrov and Hideto Nishikawa, and studied chamber music

under Atsushi Kitazumi, Haruko Ueda and Jean-Claude Bouveresse.

Currently she lives in Paris and studies classical piano music under Theodor Paraschivesco,

piano four-hand under Jean-Marc Luisada, and jazz piano music, composing, and arranging

under Valerie Benzaquen.

Some of her works have been played in Japan, France and Portugal by other musicians.

She plays not only classical piano tunes but also a wide range of piano tunes in France and also in Japan.
